The discussion centers on an article about an elliptical pool table, highlighting its unique design and the mathematical principles behind gameplay. The table's shape, with an eccentricity of 0.43, is praised for its versatility, although some participants suggest that a longer ellipse with holes at the focal points could enhance the game. Concerns are raised about the table's size, with opinions that skilled players might easily dominate the game once they grasp its mechanics. Additionally, there is a minor critique regarding the article's use of the term "focuses." I know that it isn't but, that table looks like it is practically a circle. I think that it would be more interesting if it was a longer ellipse. Then you could put a hole at each focal point.

Neat article! I do have one issue with it, though: "focuses". Really?
