In summary, talks between North and South Korea are currently de-escalating tensions on the Korean Peninsula. This is seen as a positive development, allowing attention to be focused on other global issues. However, the situation may change if North Korea feels ignored and decides to provoke attention.

It appears that however they end up doing it, talks to not, the situation on the Korean Peninsula is being mutually de-escalated. For the time being, I would say this is a good development, if only so that focus can remain on the middle east and northern africa.
