Designing a Satellite with Two Motors

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

The discussion centers on designing a satellite-like model that utilizes two motors for movement control. One motor is intended for horizontal rotation (left and right), while the other facilitates vertical movement (up and down). Participants clarify that actual satellites do not use motors for orbital changes but may employ flywheels for rotation. The focus is on understanding the control mechanisms for this model rather than traditional satellite functionality.

PREREQUISITES
  • Basic understanding of motor control systems
  • Familiarity with satellite mechanics and movement
  • Knowledge of spherical coordinates
  • Experience with control theory concepts
NEXT STEPS
  • Research motor control techniques for robotic applications
  • Explore the principles of satellite rotation using flywheels
  • Learn about spherical coordinate systems and their applications in movement
  • Investigate control theory related to multi-axis motion
USEFUL FOR

Engineering students, hobbyists in robotics, and anyone interested in satellite design and control systems.

hi all

look i haven't finished the control I subject ..and the Dr ask us for a project.

i've got an idea i want to design and satlight with two motor if anyone can help
me with the basic i would be greatfull

if there any site can explain that ..please i need it

You want to design a satellite with two motors? What would the motors be used for?

the motor will be used for moving the satellite left and right at the horizintal plan
and the other one to move up and down ..

it's not a satellite letterly

it just the body of it and need to know how to control it ..

thank u

Satellites do not use motors to move (change their orbits). Why not? What do they use instead?

Do you mean rotate? Some satellites use flywheels and motors to rotate.

yea that is it to rotate
rotate right and left
and up and and down

imagin it like a sphirecal coordinate
