Anyone else looking forward to it?
Diablo 3 was released today, generating excitement among players despite concerns about server stability and the game's online-only requirement. Initial gameplay experiences reported smooth performance with minimal lag, although some players expressed skepticism about the auction house system and the necessity of an internet connection for single-player gameplay. Players are considering waiting for a demo or beta version to assess compatibility with their systems before purchasing. The discussion highlights a divide between those eager to play and others cautious about the game's online dependencies.
PREREQUISITESGamers interested in action RPGs, particularly those considering purchasing Diablo 3, as well as individuals evaluating the impact of online dependencies in single-player games.

QuarkCharmer said:How was the 1 hour you played? I wanted to avoid the "new online game" thing (errors with the server etc) and also see how that auction-house crap panned out before getting it. So far my opinion of it is "Diablo 3: The quest for more money", but who knows.

I've been wanting to get a good desktop for awhile now, but I just don't have the money. ( I'm 15 ) Therefore I'm not allowing myself to get Diablo III yet );
I probably could run it on my laptop just fine, but I don't know. I will probably end up buying it and seeing if it will run.

vulpe said:Yo Greg, I don't know about Diablo 3, but I have starcraft 2 and you CAN play it WITHOUT an internet connection. You can do single player campaign and skirmishes just fine, you just can't battle online is all.
