Diluting 0.01 M HCl to reach pH 8.0

I have a question about acid and base rxns.

For example, if I have a solution of 0.01 M HCl which has pH 2.0. How much should I add H2O to dilute the solution to pH 8.0.

I am not sure what to do and how can I explain this problem.

No way. Pure H2O has - due to autodissociation - pH = 7.0. So no matter how you dilute your acid you will not get pH higher then 7.0.
