Does chaos theory apply to turbulence in aeronautics?

Hi!
i just wanted to know if the famous Chaos Theory has got any direct application in Aeronautics.
i've come across some information regarding this. the theory finds quite a bit of use in the study of turbulence, but then I'm unable to find some good reference material to get more relevant information from.

i had earlier posted this in the engineering section.
but the engineers don't seem to be much interested in it! :D

i think chaos theory has some applications in ramjet engines at supersonic speeds... when the jet gets going upwards of mach 3 the air behaves much differently when passing through the engine
