AI Thread Summary
Physics Forums currently does not use IPv6, which raises concerns for users experiencing difficulties with IPv4 connectivity. The forum is working on implementing IPv6 but plans to do so after the new year. This lack of IPv6 support makes discussions about its preferential use irrelevant at this time. Users are encouraged to remain patient as the transition is planned for the future. Overall, the forum's current reliance on IPv4 may hinder some users' access.

Does Physics Forums connect to the Internet via IPv6?
It is difficult for a user to connect with IPv4, and I thought
that might be the cause.

Can you explain this? We are working on IPv6, but will be after the new year.

It doesn't use it at all.

OK, if PF isn't using IPv6, then my question is irrelevant.

Thank you!
