AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on the feasibility of conducting low-cost experiments to demonstrate the Compton effect. Participants express skepticism about the possibility of proving scientific concepts through experiments, emphasizing that experiments can only demonstrate phenomena rather than provide definitive proof. There is a consensus that demonstrating the Compton effect inexpensively may not be achievable.

Well, an experiment can't prove anything. At best it can demonstrate. And I don't think this can be done inexpensively.
