In the spirit of reducing cognitive load, highlighting what is new, and encouraging activity,
I suggest that the various "Community References" at the top of various subforums be slimmed down.
They take up a lot of valuable real estate.
Within a subforum, especially on a mobile device, one has to scroll past these to see what's new.

These pinned threads are old, locked or open but not very active.
The lists of such threads do not change frequently.

Suggestions for slimming down the "Community References" section.
  • Make these pinned threads appear with only their titles (with no authors, dates, or number of replies).
  • Alternatively, use one pinned locked thread
that contains only a list of clickable titles to the various pinned threads,
which can be edited and updated by those who have the privilege of pinning and unpinning threads.
This could make the section slim down to maybe 1/3 of its current vertical footprint.

Can the pinned thread in the subforum (e.g. in relativity) have its title italicized in order to quickly make it distinguishable (italicized but not bold) among the regular threads ( so I can cognitively attenuate it )?
