SUMMARY

ESD "proof" metal roller conveyors capable of handling a 250kg payload do exist and are utilized in electronics production lines within ESD safe areas. Users are advised to consult roller manufacturers for specific ESD safe configurations and solutions. Grounding straps may be effective in dissipating static generated by the rollers, but the effectiveness can vary based on the design and materials used. It is essential to prioritize ESD safety in environments where sensitive electronic components are handled.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) safety standards
  • Familiarity with roller conveyor systems
  • Knowledge of grounding techniques for static dissipation
  • Awareness of payload specifications and material properties
NEXT STEPS
  • Research ESD safe roller conveyor manufacturers and their product offerings
  • Explore grounding strap solutions for ESD protection in conveyor systems
  • Investigate the design features of ESD proof metal roller conveyors
  • Learn about the impact of static electricity on electronic components
USEFUL FOR

Manufacturing engineers, production managers, and anyone involved in the design and implementation of ESD safe environments for handling sensitive electronic components.

Do they exist? Looking for any recommendations on ESD "proof" metal roller conveyors. Not sure if the static generated by the rollers can be dissipated with grounding straps, etc. I have a massive payload (250kg), so I'd rather steer clear from belt, chain, and pallet systems.

I'm pretty sure they exist. You see rollers used all around electronics production lines in ESD safe areas. Have you talked to any roller manufacturers and asked about ESD safe configurations?
