How did you find PF?
I found Physics Forums through a Google search while looking for science discussion communities.
Hi everyone! 👋
My name is Nizam, and I’m thrilled to be a part of this incredible community of science lovers and learners!

🔹 I'm from Bangladesh, currently pursuing my studies with a strong interest in physics, mathematics, and scientific reasoning. I've always been curious about how the universe works—from the tiniest subatomic particles to the vastness of space.

🔹 I found Physics Forums through a Google search, while I was looking for a trusted platform to deepen my understanding of science and connect with people who share similar interests. I was impressed by the quality of discussions, respectful tone, and depth of knowledge here.

🔬

  • Classical Mechanics and Electromagnetism ⚡
  • Quantum Physics (though I’m just getting started!)
  • Space Science, Black Holes & Cosmology 🌌
  • Mathematics, especially algebra and calculus
  • Also curious about programming and AI 🤖

🎯

  • To learn from experts and fellow members
  • Ask questions (but only after doing my own research!)
  • Contribute wherever possible with helpful replies
  • Share ideas and grow as a learner

📚

  • Khan Academy
  • MIT OpenCourseWare
  • YouTube Channels like Veritasium, MinutePhysics, and PBS SpaceTime
  • Books: Feynman Lectures, A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking

🙏 Thanks for the warm welcome message!

I’ve already updated my profile and uploaded my avatar. Looking forward to becoming an active and respectful member here.

Let me know if you have any tips for new members or beginner-level discussions I should check out!

Cheers,
Nizam 🇧🇩

Hello everyone, I was advised to join this community while seeking guidance on how to navigate the academic world as an independent researcher. My name is Omar, and I'm based in Groningen The Netherlands. My formal physics education ended after high school, but I have dedicated the last several years to developing a theoretical framework from first principles. My work focuses on a topological field theory (which I call Swirl-String Theory) that models particles as knotted vortex...
