How did you find PF?
google
Hello everyone,

I'm new here and I'm interested in General Relativity, astrophysics and cosmology. I have some papers published in another branch (e.g. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-021-01679-4 ) but I am currently exploring other fields of physics
Greetings,
Peter

Welcome to PF, Peter. Interesting field to publish in!

We are happy to discuss articles published in peer-reviewed journals. If you want to start a new thread in the appropriate forum about the journal articles discussed in that old PF thread, that should be okay. Hopefully there have been new publications since that 2015 thread.

Thanks, Berkeman!
Those journal articles in that old thread, where can I find them (in that thread or outside it)?

Hmm, I'm not sure. The thread is 7 years old, so PF may have been less strict about posting references back then. But the OP was @marcus and the level of the discussion was advanced enough that others may have been familiar with the material and the published work.

You may be able to use some of the keywords in the thread to help you find more current published work. Just be sure it is peer-reviewed work, per the PF rules. You can find more info on valid references in the Rules link under INFO at the top of the page.

(rigorously) peer-reviewed is the only way to go ;-)

Hello everyone, I was advised to join this community while seeking guidance on how to navigate the academic world as an independent researcher. My name is Omar, and I'm based in Groningen The Netherlands. My formal physics education ended after high school, but I have dedicated the last several years to developing a theoretical framework from first principles. My work focuses on a topological field theory (which I call Swirl-String Theory) that models particles as knotted vortex...
