HallsofIvy is retiring after nine years of dedicated service as a mentor in the homework forums, where he has significantly contributed to student support. Dalespam is joining the mentor group, recognized for his quality contributions and a Physics award. Micromass is transitioning to the Mathematics forums, ensuring continued support in that area. The community expresses gratitude for HallsofIvy's efforts and welcomes Dalespam enthusiastically. Discussions also touch on the appropriate titles for retired staff, suggesting "Mentor Emeritus" as a more fitting term.

I wouldn't be opposed to changing it :)

I like the idea.

FYI
In the United States, the word is used either as a postpositional adjective (e.g., "professor emeritus"), or as a prepositional adjective (e.g., "emeritus professor"). There is a third usage, although not employed as often, in which the word follows a full title (e.g., professor of medicine, emeritus.)

Then there's this.
