Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around finding the value of x and the corresponding radian when the volume of a certain shape is maximized. It involves mathematical reasoning related to optimization through differentiation.

Discussion Character

  • Mathematical reasoning

Main Points Raised

  • One participant suggests differentiating the volume function with respect to x and setting the derivative equal to zero to find the maximum volume.
  • Another participant expresses uncertainty about the approach and seeks clarification.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

The discussion does not indicate a consensus, as one participant is unsure about the method proposed.

Contextual Notes

Limitations: The specific form of the volume function and the assumptions regarding the variables involved are not provided, which may affect the applicability of the differentiation approach.

You can derivate the given function of volume with respecting to x
dV/dx = 0, solve the equation. Then the result follow.

thank you. i wasn't sure.
