Hello everyone,

My name is Rick. I am not an engineer nor am I a student. I am simply a hobby maker that does machining, blacksmithing and fabrication using a combination of materials. Typically ferrous metals, wood and stone.

I am constantly bumping into areas of knowledge in which I have limited knowledge and am looking for group that I can share ideas and get help in applying technical concepts to achieve results.

Much of what I do is building items that need to accomplish a specific task.

I am currently working on a design for a hydraulic forging press to be used to squish hot metal (forge into various shapes).

I'm not sure if this is the best place to be?

I live in S.E. Wisconsin.

We have 2 golden reteivers and enjoy, music, the outdoors, food and craft cocktails.

Rick

My name is Omar, and I'm based in Groningen The Netherlands. My formal physics education ended after high school, but I have dedicated the last several years to developing a theoretical framework from first principles. My work focuses on a topological field theory (which I call Swirl-String Theory) that models particles as knotted vortex...
