''General Math'' is too broad of a category.

  1. Jan 2, 2012 #1
Could the board at least be altered so that only problems
in arithmetic and elementary algebra through college algebra
be included in a certain otherwise named category?

As it is now, topics under "General Math" range from about
elementary algebra through advanced calculus and post-
    calculus material.

General math is supposed to be the category in which posts are made which do not belong in any other category.

I agree that calculus-threads or abstract algebra-threads do not belong in general math. If you do see threads on these topics, then please report them. Mentors will then move this thread to an appropriate category.
