Many expressed their sadness at his potential exit, reminiscing about his contributions and humor. There were playful comments about the difficulty of leaving the community, with members joking about dragging him back if necessary. As the conversation progressed, it became clear that Wolram's departure was linked to computer issues, possibly involving hackers and email problems. Thanks, Evo. I could have edited it myself, but that would have left the door open.
I'm glad you didn't edit it, you proved my point about the censor not working.

That's the reason why I have five different e-mail accounts. One for each level of importance. If something generic requires an e-mail address (which could possibly solicit my address) I give them them the 5th or 4th level one. If it's something important like e-mails for forums I'm a part of or something I purchase, I give out the 2nd level e-mail. I leave the 1st level for all private/daily e-mails.

Yeah, same here, except its like having two 5th level ones and a 1st level one. I keep a hotmail (1st) for my forum stuff, website registration things, and personal email. Either my gmail or yahoo gets used for random crap that may be a scam, etc. Mainly my Yahoo is used for Freecycle and Yahoo Answers.

Always glad to do my part.

It was quite a surprise after having Matgarbagea show up with asterisks when I was trying to find a driver for a CD player.

Welcome back Wolram!
Hope you're able to keep the net sharks away.
I'll have a Guinness for you as well this weekend. Cheers!

WOLRAM YOU DIRTBAG, DON'T DO THAT AGAIN! Haven't we had this discussion before? I hate it when you start a thread and say 'goodbye' like it's forever with no explanation and then just show your little face up again like NOTHING ever happened.

Having said that  - Welcome back, Wollie. We missed you. :!) :!) Just a warning, tho. We Sisters are now sporting our very own codpieces! - supposedly a step up from the frozen fish-whack.

That's why everyone here loves having you around. There's so few people capable of telling the difference between the two.

Woolie, are you familiar with 'The Boy Who Cried Wolf'? One of these days, you're going to disappear for real and nobody will notice due to all of your false alarms. Quit it, already.

Glad you're back, Woolie!

I'm glad you're still with us here Woolie! This thread gave me quite a fright. I saw it only today and looked at the date started and thought you'd snuck out of town while I was away, and I didn't get a chance to say good-bye or get your forwarding address. Glad you've changed your mind.

If you're having computer troubles, maybe somebody here can help out. If you're getting a bunch of new notifications from us in your inbox, check your settings under My PF. I noticed there were some default settings for email notifications after the upgrade. Don't know if it's that or some other mess that needs cleaning up.

Welcome back Woolie!

I don't get what happened though?

I think that it's just Woolie being Woolie. The man never backs off from a mechanical problem, but tends to panic when a computer goes sideways. Being a bootstrap mechanical guy myself, I can sympathize.

I feel the same, over the span of just less than 1 month Wollie made 3 post, ( goodby, might be back, didn't know I'd be missed ) most of the other 73 post sounded more like insider trading behind the doors??

I think maybe I understand a little of how PF works:approve:
Oh ya, welcome back wolram.

So do I understand that you have a new laptop now, with windows? Let me repeat the advise, uninstall any virus scanner and install Avast!

Avast! updates definitions every single day, it seems. The developers stay right on top of risks, unlike some of the big AV names.
