SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the relationship between mass, velocity, and gravity, emphasizing that as mass increases with velocity, the gravitational field of the mass remains unchanged for an observer moving with it. However, a stationary observer may perceive a difference in the gravitational field due to the relativistic effects of energy. This topic is further explored in a linked discussion on Physics Forums regarding relative gravitational fields and black holes.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of Einstein's theory of relativity
  • Familiarity with gravitational field concepts
  • Basic knowledge of energy-mass equivalence
  • Awareness of observational perspectives in physics
NEXT STEPS
  • Research Einstein's theory of relativity and its implications on mass and energy
  • Explore gravitational field variations in accelerated frames of reference
  • Study the effects of velocity on mass as described by the Lorentz transformation
  • Investigate the relationship between energy and gravity in the context of black holes
USEFUL FOR

Physicists, students of theoretical physics, and anyone interested in the dynamics of mass and gravity in relativistic contexts.

As mass increases with increasing velocity(energy) and gravity is directly related to mass . Does gravity of a body increases with increasing energy

Joy I think you pose an excellent question. An observer riding along beside the accelerated mass would not notice any change in the mass's gravity, but what about a stationary observer with respect to the mass? Would they notice an increase in it's gravitational field?
