Anyone know if, assuming application deadlines are after the Jan 15th mailing of the Dec. test results, it matters if I take the GRE subject test in Nov. or Dec?
The main difference between the Nov and Dec GRE Subject Test is the date on which they are offered. The Nov test is typically offered in early November, while the Dec test is usually offered in early December. Both tests cover the same material and have the same format and structure.
The best test date for you depends on your personal schedule and readiness for the test. If you feel more prepared in November, then that test date may be better for you. However, if you need more time to study and feel more confident in December, then that may be the better test date for you.
Yes, you are allowed to take both the Nov and Dec GRE Subject Test. However, keep in mind that the tests cover the same material and have the same format, so there may not be much benefit in taking both tests.
Yes, the scores from the Nov and Dec tests will be reported separately. You can choose which scores you want to send to schools when you register for the test. If you take both tests, schools will see both sets of scores.
There are no specific advantages to taking the Nov or Dec test. However, if you are planning to apply to graduate programs with early deadlines, taking the Nov test may give you more time to receive and send your scores. Additionally, taking the Dec test allows you to have more time to study and potentially improve your scores before the application deadlines.
