How did you find PF?
Via Google search.
I am a PhD student at Utah State University, USA. I'm working on the Solid State Li metal Battery materials. I use DFT (on VASP), MD, Finite elements, etc. to analyse mechanical and electronic properties of materials. Im here to ask some questions and learn more.

Welcome to PF; you've come to the right place.

Thanks. Should I ask the question here? I posted it as a post in my profile.

No, not here in this thread. The New Member Introduction forum is only for short introductions of new members.

For general technical questions, post them in the appropriate technical forum (start the thread by filling out the form at the top of that forum) and include links to your reading that you've been doing and ask questions about that reading. In some of the technical forums the thread title will include a "prefix" that you can set to "High School", "Undergraduate, or "Graduate" for the level that you would like the replies to be.

In your Profile post, I think @Ibix recommended the Material Science forum, and gave a you a direct link to that forum to make finding it easier. Feel free to send me a Direct Message (DM) if you have questions about how PF works. Just click on my avatar and then click on "Send direct message".

EDIT/ADD: I see now that you already found the Material Science forum and started your first thread there.

Thank you! Yes I have already posted the question according to @Ibix's instructions. Thanks a lot!
