How did you find PF?
Suggested by Claude AI
Hi, I'm not a physicist but I've always been fascinated by the topic since school age (a log time ago, unfortunately).
Sometimes I hit my head too hard and come up with weird ideas, so while looking for a place to discuss them Claude AI suggested me this forum.
Not all AI is bad after all, uh?
Hopefully I won't get roasted too much :)

Physics news on Phys.org
This site focuses on established science. We don’t discuss personal theories. See the guidelines.

Welcome to the forum.

Please do take the time to read the rules here - the forum is for the discussion of mainstream science only. If you don't understand something about that we can probably help, but personal theories aren't allowed.

Having new ideas isn't the problem with physics. It's developing the new ideas into something that is (a) coherent enough to be testable, and (b) not instantly falsified by something in the huge body of experimental data we possess. We aren't equipped to do that here.

I understand. Feel free to trash my post and sorry for the noise.

Why would you leave now? You've just found the best science forum (in English anyway) on the Internet and if you are interested in physics, this is THE place to be. Yeah, we don't deal with personal theories, but you might find that there are part of your ideas that you are not entirely clear on and this can be a great place to clear up any confusion or lack of knowledge you have on specific aspects of known science.

If all you want to do is discuss personal theories, there ARE forums where you can do that but they are crap forums and the signal-to-noise ratio is horrendous and you'll learn little to nothing on them.

I'm not leaving; I've been advised on reading Girardi’s book “Sneaking a look at God’s cards” to clear up my view on QM, and I'm currently at page 21 (of the italian version, so numbering may vary).
So, thank you for pointing me in the right direction, and hopefully I'll be back with more knowledge and better questions
