I know some members like to go hiking different places, and there are various pictures posted in Nature threads.

But this is for sharing information on hiking and hikes that folks have done or would like to do.

The longest trek I every took was back when I was 20 (too many years ago for my taste)

5 days and 52 miles through Glacier National park.

Day 1: I started at Many Glacier, crossed Ptarmigan pass and camped at Elizabeth lake.
Day 2: Easy 10 mi hike to to Glen's lake (If I had known it was going to be such an easy hike, I would have planned out the trip differently)
Day 3: Crossed Stony Indian Pass, and later the Continental divide (East to West). camped at 50 Mountain. (beautiful view of multiple peaks to the west)
Day 4: Hiked South paralleling the divide, camping at Granite Chalet.
Day 5: Through Swiftcurrent pass (and back over the Divide), returning to Many Glacier.
