Latley I have been researching antimatter. I know how it is created in the CERN particle accelerators. What I want to know is how antimatter can be created more efficiently and effectivley.

It is created at many places. PET scans create positrons for use in medical diagnostics. It is more common than you think.

The main place it is created is the large accelerators, such as CERN. Certain radioactive elements emit positrons (anti-electrons) as their decay mode. The PET scanners don't 'create' the positrons, but the radioactive element is injected into the body, and the PET scanners see the gamma rays that result when these positrons interact with a normal electron and are converted to two 511Kev gammas. Recently, there has been a discovery that some lightning strikes can create antimatter as well.

How to create it more efficiently and effectively is something people are actively studying. We currently don't know.
