SUMMARY

The discussion focuses on predicting a plane's motion vector based on three acting forces: weight, propulsive force (engine thrust), and aerodynamic force (air pressure). The net force vector is calculated by summing these three force vectors. This net force vector, when divided by the plane's mass, yields the net acceleration vector. By multiplying the net acceleration vector by a small time interval, one can determine the change in the net velocity vector, thus predicting the plane's motion after a short duration.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of vector addition in physics
  • Knowledge of Newton's Second Law of Motion
  • Familiarity with basic aerodynamics concepts
  • Basic principles of kinematics
NEXT STEPS
  • Study vector addition and its applications in physics
  • Learn about Newton's Second Law of Motion in detail
  • Explore aerodynamic forces acting on aircraft
  • Investigate kinematic equations for motion prediction
USEFUL FOR

Aerospace engineers, physics students, and anyone interested in understanding the dynamics of aircraft motion and force interactions.

Hello every one:smile:

I hope you can answer me when you read my question which is:

If a plane in state of motion with three forces acting on it:1-Weight,2-Purpolsive(engine thrust),3-Aerodynamic(air Pressure)
All three forces' vectors with the vector of motion are given.

How can we guess the motion vector after a short time?

Note"There is no more info beside what mentioned"

THANK YOU SO MUCH:smile:

The sum of the three force vectors results in a net force vector. The net force vector divided by the mass of the plane is the net acceleration vector, which can then be multiplied by a small amount of time to determine the change in the net velocity vector.
