Permission to Discuss Hypotheses for Contest Feedback?
@Demystifier @PeroK @bhobba @renormalize
Hello Mentors and Insight Authors,
I'd like to put forward some hypotheses for discussion and
feedback, and I want to ask first whether this would be
appropriate for this forum.
I'm preparing an essay for the 2026 Gravity Research Foundation
Awards for Essays on Gravitation. The essay proposes that the
gravitational constant G may be derivable and would agree with
the CODATA 2018 value to within 0.05%.
These are presented as HYPOTHESES requiring external validation,
not claims of established fact. The framework uses explicit
tagging: (D) for derivations from stated axioms, (D*) for
derivations with discrete selection rules, and (H) for
hypotheses. The documentation is designed for falsification-
focused critique.
I do not wish to be suspended or receive marks against my
account. After earlier experiences with Physics Forums, I've
worked hard to understand and respect its rules. I still
believe this is one of the best forums for serious physics
discussion, which is why I'm asking here rather than elsewhere.
If the mentors feel this type of discussion is not appropriate,
I completely understand and will not proceed. If there is a
specific subforum or format that would be acceptable for
pre-contest feedback, I would appreciate guidance.
Thank you for your time and for maintaining such a valuable
community.
