International physics program requirements

In summary, the minimum education requirement for an international physics program is typically a high school diploma or equivalent, with some programs also requiring previous coursework in physics and mathematics. Whether or not fluency in a second language is needed depends on the program and country, and it is important to research language requirements before applying. Many programs also require standardized tests such as the TOEFL or IELTS for non-native English speakers, and some may also require subject-specific tests such as the Physics Subject Test. GPA requirements vary by program, and it is important to research each program's requirements. Other factors to consider when applying include the location, cost, length, curriculum, research opportunities, and faculty of the program, as well as the cultural and social aspects

I remember reading (it might have been here) that non-US physics programs don't use the Physics GRE for admission criteria. Is this true?

Are there other test(s) that are used? What do international programs tend to look at?

It is mainly a US-specific test. Most European students for example won't have GRE score at all. At least here in Germany, universities will look for the last grades you got in the previous program.
