How did you find PF?
Just a Google search for specifically optics forums.
Greetings from Bozeman. My name is Slater Kirk. I currently work for Resonon in Bozeman MT designing imaging spectrometers and hyperspectral solutions.

I have a bachelor's in physics from Montana State and got to go through that program in a time where a lot of lidar development was happening.

Masters in Optics from university of Arizona working on cylindrical optic aberration theory with Jose Sasian.

In-between degrees I was a laser integrator at Quantel (now Lumibird).

My interests are fairly broad. Practical use of models using python, pyScatMech, pcGrate, zemax, to understand optical performance. Lens manufacturing and diamond turned mirror fabrication and characterization. Sensor noise, performance, and characteristics. Novel optical designs, imaging system designs, scattering, stray light, and overall imager performance.
