Discussion Character

  • Exploratory, Conceptual clarification, Debate/contested

Main Points Raised

  • One participant suggests that déjà vu may be a myth from a theoretical perspective but experiences it frequently in daily life, questioning the nature of these occurrences.
  • Another participant proposes that déjà vu could indicate a disturbance in memory processing, suggesting that it may be linked to sleep quality and recommending consultation with a neurologist for further understanding.
  • There is an emphasis on the subjective experience of déjà vu, with one participant expressing feelings of being overwhelmed by the frequency of these experiences.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants do not reach a consensus; there are competing views regarding the nature of déjà vu, with some considering it a myth and others attributing it to neurological factors.

Contextual Notes

The discussion includes personal anecdotes and medical advice, but lacks empirical evidence or detailed exploration of the neurological mechanisms behind déjà vu. There are also assumptions about the relationship between sleep and memory that remain unverified.

well if seen from top approach, "dejavu" is just a myth, but if it is observed practically, it happens with me everyday.
I think that I am always respecting my actions. I think that there is 30 hours in my day.
I think that I am a freak but if it happens a dozen of times, it is no coincidence.
So please help me..??

You really should ask a neurologist for advice. Usually the déja vu effect indicates a disturbance between short time and long time memory. The signals are sort of messed up. Often one can experience those effects when there hasn't been enough or bad sleep. If it really occurs to you in such a frequency then the best advice you can get is to consult a professional doctor.
