I have a long standing belief the Planck density is the ultimate limit on mass density in the universe - including black hole 'singularities'. Am I hopelessly out of touch with mainstream science? Any input would be appreciated.

There's a lot of argument about what the Planck density means and whether it is physically meaningful. It might be the cosmic density limit, but no one really knows how applicable it is. Depends on the specific treatment of quantum gravity.
