SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the concept of the universe potentially moving in circular or elliptical patterns within the fourth dimension, specifically relating to time as a physical quantity. Participants emphasize the importance of clarity in questioning, suggesting that vague inquiries hinder understanding. The conversation highlights the need for precise definitions of terms like "motion," "physical quantity," and the implications of these concepts in the context of the universe's movement. Ultimately, the thread concludes with a call for deeper introspection before seeking answers.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of basic physics concepts, particularly motion and dimensions.
  • Familiarity with philosophical inquiry and the importance of precise questioning.
  • Knowledge of the distinction between physical and non-physical quantities.
  • Awareness of the implications of time as a dimension in physics.
NEXT STEPS
  • Research the concept of time as a physical dimension in physics.
  • Explore the definitions and implications of motion in different dimensions.
  • Study philosophical approaches to questioning and meaning in scientific discourse.
  • Investigate the relationship between physical quantities and their philosophical interpretations.
USEFUL FOR

Philosophers, physicists, students of cosmology, and anyone interested in the intersection of physics and philosophical inquiry regarding the nature of the universe.

Well I was thinking everything is moving in circle or ellipse, is universe also in such motion? If so it may be moving on a different dimension fourth one maybe on time, where time would be a physical quantity, a closed loop on which universe is revolving and repeating every single point as we speak? May be that is why we are unable to control time because we are way too small.

I think you should read what you've asked and investigate the meaning of the words you've used. What does it mean to say "everything is moving in circle or ellipse" and is that more true or more poetic. What does it mean to say "the universe is in motion" motion relative to what? What is a "physical quantity" vs a "non-physical quantity" what does that mean?

I'm not challenging you on these things. I think there are answers to some of these questions. But you'll not find meaning in answers until you better understand the meaning of your questions. I sense in your questions a vagueness that would be best remediated by you trying to answer the pre-questions I posed.

This kind of "philosophical" musing is not acceptable here.
