Is there a precedent for loosing SA badge?

In summary, there is no specific precedent for a member losing their Science Advisor badge, but it is possible if they are banned from the forum. Other badges, such as the Homework Helper badge, are not something that can be lost, but rather something that can be reprieved from. Personal opinions on receiving badges may vary among members.

I'm sure if you get banned from PF, that's an end to any badges you may have been awarded.

BTW, the verb here is 'lose'. If you 'loose' something, that means you fling it or throw it away.

I used to be a Homework Helper and I'm not anymore. Does that count?

A Homework Helper badge isn't something you lose, it's something that you are reprieved from.

Just thinking. Is there is any point in trying to be objective if I don't like someone.

Personally, I am happy to accept any badges that PF chooses to bequeath to me as long as it doesn't inconvenience me in the slightest

I, on the other hand, would be seriously worried if I got any badges since that would be a sure sign that Greg was losing his mind.
