It was hilarious, like everything on the Colbert show usually is. Would have been even funnier if he'd gotten a British actor to do it, like Patrick Stewart. Or the late Richard Burton.

Between Newt and The Donald, I'm not sure who can claim the shortest Presidential campaign in history. Of course Newt had announced and The Donald never did.

Wow. "gingrich press release" search on Google, first page of results are all Lithgow's.

I thought I was watching Lithgow "introducing" the press release with his hyperbolic thespian talent. When it was over, and I realized "that was the press release,"

I still don't know what to think. Did Newt really write that? Was he serious? Was he drunk?
