Interesting observation on recognizing, reading and writing letter 'g'. Old enought to have learned cursive writing as well as printed in grammar school, I recall several students had trouble writing cursive 'g' and other lower case letters such as 'q' with "tails" extending below the line.
Teachers and visiting testers found a correlation among those students less comfotable with geometric intuition and reasoning. Continuing the form below the writing line caused a sort of reset as if starting a new letter.
