If you took the picture using a setting that's available with your camera, then that's perfectly OK. The only thing that's prohibited is akin to "post processing", i.e. modifying your picture using Photoshop, etc.

Actually, the camera does post-processing also. I can set mine to bump up the sharpness, saturation, and contrast, as well as the white balance is post processing of course! So that negative feature that he has, that's post-processing, only its done by the camera and not a software application.
