A new photo contest has been launched, focusing on the theme "YOUR CITY/NEIGHBORHOOD." Participants can submit one digital photo that reflects their local area, adhering to specific guidelines: photos must be resized to a maximum of 650 x 490 pixels, and editing or special effects are not permitted. Only original photos taken by the participants are allowed, with submissions made through designated photo servers. A poll will determine the winner at the end of the contest period, which runs until May 5th. Discussions include suggestions for a playoff-style voting system if entries are numerous, and clarifications on what constitutes a digital photo. Participants are encouraged to share their unique perspectives on their surroundings, fostering a sense of community and diversity through visual storytelling.

This is quite a common sight in my area. Less so, but far from rare, are bears, moose, cougars, bighorn sheep (:-p ), bald eagles, more deer than you can count, elk, etc. etc. etc..

As you can see, most of them are thoroughly engrossed in the 'Ellen' show, the near one is wondering what the hell kind of bird that is (an L-1011), and the one on the left suddenly realized that I didn't have any pants on.

Oh Wow! TheSwerve, that is so beautiful! And to think it is just down the road from me! I would take a photo of our lovely Marina Del Rey sunsets, but I am such a klutz with a camera. It would be a mess.
