How did you find PF?
It is Artificial Intelligence that suggested you.
My name is Marc Patch. I am a composer of classical contemporary music. However I have had my best friend whom I knew during 52 years who was a physicist and he died on the October 24 2024. He was working on a discovery and was almost done but he died before. I need your help to validate his work and maybe to research it a bit more. I do not have any knowledge in physics I am here to help my friend whose name was Jean-Pierree Cournoyer. Thank you very much.

Dear Marc,

We are deeply sorry to hear about the passing of your friend. Please accept our heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. Losing someone close is never easy, and we hope you find comfort in your memories of him and the impact he made on those around him.

Regarding your request, we are sorry to say that PhysicsForums cannot fulfill it. As PF is a community of volunteers passionate about mainstream science and math, it’s unlikely that we have the subject matter experts capable of reviewing or validating your friend’s work effectively. While we appreciate your desire to recognize his contributions, we want to be upfront about our platform's limitations in this area.

We would recommend that you contact either his university's physics department or his doctoral alma mater. However, this can be a tough path since most physics departments focus more on their current research interests and students, and are reluctant and unlikely to take on outside responsibilities like this.

We wish you peace and strength as you navigate the days ahead.

Sincerely,
Jedi

Hello everyone, I was advised to join this community while seeking guidance on how to navigate the academic world as an independent researcher. My name is Omar, and I'm based in Groningen The Netherlands. My formal physics education ended after high school, but I have dedicated the last several years to developing a theoretical framework from first principles. My work focuses on a topological field theory (which I call Swirl-String Theory) that models particles as knotted vortex...
