Anyone else enjoy the show?

I get that the primary focus is on the issues of collectivism and free choice, but wondering if they are going to address the 'hard-SF / space opera' questions like,

How did the Aliens know to start broadcasting the signal in the 1400s (at the latest) and how did they learn human biology for the virus to work?
Was the broadcast sent by the virus creators or an iteration of the hive mind that is now trying to begin transmitting from Earth?
How does the hive on Earth know where to aim the transmission (the original was targeted) and the biology of the recipients for the virus to work?
I guess the population decline from starvation will level off at some sustainable level and then the hive will reproduce to keep the signal going, or are they so sure of its receipt they only care about broadcasting for a few years?

Happy to let this all slide for the rest of the show, but would be cool if these questions eventually get addressed
