AI Thread Summary
Polymer melts refer to thermoplastic polymers that have been heated to a point where they become fluid and can flow. This state is essential for various processing techniques in polymer manufacturing. The discussion highlights the difficulty in finding accessible information on the topic, as many scholarly documents tend to be overly complex and dense. The request for simpler explanations and resources indicates a need for clearer, more digestible information regarding polymer melts and their properties.

Heat a thermoplastic polymer until it flows. Label it "Polymer Melt".

Move on...

thanks.

I want to test a humidity sensor with one or more saturated salt solutions. The table salt that I have on hand contains one of two anticaking agents, calcium silicate or sodium aluminosilicate. Will the presence of either of these additives (or iodine for that matter) significantly affect the equilibrium humidity? I searched and all the how-to-do-it guides did not address this question. One research paper I found reported that at 1.5% w/w calcium silicate increased the deliquescent point by...
