Randy Meisner 1946-2023

Bassist and founder member of the Eagles died last week.

Thread 'Why is the plural for moose not meese?'

The piece came-up from the "Lame Jokes" section of the forum. Someobody carried a step from one of the posts and I became curious and tried a brief web search. A web page gives some justification of sorts why we can use goose(s)-geese(p), but not moose(s)-meese(p). Thread 'Cover songs versus the original track, which ones are better?'

Which songs were performed, arranged or produced better in a cover than the original version? Which songs should have been left well alone? Also, I think restricting the covers just to released singles will restrict some interesting stonkers and stinkers so album tracks are allowed.

So the Chinese in ancient times made many writings on how to put a man in chair on the moon with solid fuel rockets. How much do we owe these experiments. My brother has said that these calculations had little influence on modern space travel. But, I wonder?
