Homework Statement



A vessel is sailing with a velocity of 11 knots per hour in the direction southeast and a second vessel B is sailing with a velocity of 13 knoths per hour in a direction 30 degrees east of north. find the velocity of A relative to B.

Why can't you make an attempt to solve the problem by drawing the two vectors in a paper so that it will help you to solve the problem

tried every possible way i mean

took the component of A in the direction using trignometric functions
but i couldn't get the answer as in textbook.
answer as i ntext book is
21.29 knots in the direction t4 deg 47 minutes south of east
