From page 6: 'Close contacts who are Sars-Cov-2 exposed are often both NAT negative and antibody negative indicating that Sars-Cov-2 failed to establish a successful infection'. So the exposure generated memory T cells in absence of an infection. Given that current efforts focus on vaccine mediated protection . This study highlights the need for a much more holistic approach to understand true immune response.
