Should I Pursue Electrical Engineering for Research in Physics?

Hey I am a high school student just about to enroll for under-graduation in Physics. I am new in this forum and I thought I might introduce myself here. I am Ursa Maity, an 18year old girl from India looking forward to doing research in god's own subject physics.
