SUMMARY

The discussion centers on Ashlee Simpson's controversial performance during the season premiere of Saturday Night Live (SNL), where she was criticized for lip-syncing and failing to deliver a live musical act. Participants express disappointment in SNL's choice of artist, highlighting that Simpson's pre-recorded vocals played while she stood with the microphone at her hip, leading to a perceived lack of authenticity. The conversation underscores a broader sentiment that SNL has declined in quality since the passing of Chris Farley, with many calling for more genuine talent to be featured on the show.

Did any of you see Saturday Night Live's season premier?

You've probably already heard about Ashlee Simpson being exposed for the talentless fraud that she is.

SNL is known for great, live musical performances, but Simpson is probably its biggest screw-up ever.

Instead of choosing a real musician, they chose someone who can't dance or sing. Her voice track started playing before the band, and while she had the mic at her hip - busted. She stood there as we heard a pre-recorded voice in the background singing, while she stood there. Then, she left the stage as her band continued playing.

The worst part was when she told the crowd at the end how, "My band played the wrong song."

Tons of talented musicians out there, many of them looking for exposure. Why did they choose a fraud like Ashlee riding on her sisters popularity?

There's an awesome discussion on it http://www.saturday-night-live.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1301&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 in case you missed out.

This just goes to show that SNL is going down the drain - ever since Chris Farley died.

I don't like either Jessica or Ashley Simpson as a singer. However, they aren't that bad. Still, I think Ashley is a better singer than Jessica.
