SUMMARY

The discussion centers on resolving a simulation issue in MCNP6, where the user reports the loss of 10 particles during execution. The primary cause identified is a geometry error within the input file. Participants emphasize the importance of verifying the geometry setup to prevent particle loss and ensure accurate simulation results.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of MCNP6 simulation software
  • Familiarity with geometry setup in MCNP
  • Basic knowledge of particle transport theory
  • Experience with input file configuration in MCNP
NEXT STEPS
  • Review MCNP6 documentation on geometry errors
  • Learn how to validate geometry in MCNP6
  • Explore troubleshooting techniques for particle loss in MCNP simulations
  • Study best practices for input file creation in MCNP6
USEFUL FOR

Researchers, nuclear engineers, and simulation specialists who are working with MCNP6 and need to troubleshoot particle loss issues in their simulations.

I was running the MCNP input file. after simulation it shows that 10 particle are lost,( using MCNP6)
I do not know where is a problem.
How can i get to the solution?
