Solving sec(π) = 2/(2x+1) for x

sec(pi)=2/2x+1
-1=2/2x+1
-2x-1=2
-2x=3
x=-3/2

is this correct?

That doesn't make any sense. You have two "(" and only one ")".
The whole question is whether you mean sec(pi(2x+1))= 2 or sec(pi(2x)+ 1= 2 and you still haven't answered that.
 
sec(pi(2x+1))= 2 is what i mean.
