Importing an STL file into MSC Marc can lead to issues when trying to set it as a rigid body, as the software may not recognize it as a valid surface. Ensuring that all normals are correctly oriented is crucial for proper functionality. Additionally, users should verify the integrity of faces and vertices, as manual adjustments may be necessary. Converting the STL surface to NURBS could be a potential solution to the compatibility problem. Properly addressing these factors can help in successfully utilizing STL files in MSC Marc.

Hello guys,
I need help from you one more time. I have imported a STL file to marc and right now I have a problem. I would like to set this STL file as a rigid body but MSC Marc won't accept it as a surface (but it is a surface file). Do you have any clue how to solve it? Maybe this surface should be changed to NURBS?

i don't know about marc, but i often work with STL files. one thing to be sure about is that all the normals are facing the way you intend. then check the faces and vertices to check that it looks alright. you may need to manually edit these points/lines.

Had my central air system checked when it sortta wasn't working. I guess I hadn't replaced the filter. Guy suggested I might want to get a UV filter accessory. He said it would "kill bugs and particulates". I know UV can kill the former, not sure how he thinks it's gonna murder the latter. Now I'm finding out there's more than one type of UV filter: one for the air flow and one for the coil. He was suggesting we might get one for the air flow, but now we'll have to change the bulb...
