Some questions concerning strange words:

Firstly, some I know myself (mostly trivial)

1. Find an eight-letter word containing 4 G's.
2. Find a six-letter word containing 3 Y's.
3. Find a word ending in 'mt'. (very easy)
4. Find a word containing the combination 'ufa'.
5. Find a six-letter word containing no vowels (a, e, i, o, u)
6. Find a word of 16 letters (at least) with no vowels other than 'e' (and no 'y').

Some I grabbed from another site. I will give the link later, as it contains solutions. If you are lame you can always google to get the answers, but if you do don't spoil it please. Let those who want to discover the solutions themselves answer. I haven't looked at the answers to these yet.

7. Can you think of a word with 5 O's
8. Can you think of a word with 6 E's
9. Can you think of a word with 6 I's
10. Can you think of a word with 6 A's

Can you find the word or words that:

11. has 7 letters that has all letters in alphabetical order?
12. has/have none of the six vowels (A,E,I,O,U,Y)?
13. has/have six consonants in a row?
14. has/have five consonants in a row?
15. contains/contain all six vowels in sequence?
16. contains/contain five vowels in sequence (A,E,I,O,U)?
17. contains/contain five vowels in sequence in reverse order (U,O,I,E,A)?
18. is/are five letters long and has one consonant?
19. is/are nine letters long and has one vowel?
20. has/have five vowels in a row (only A,E,I,O,U)?
21. has/have six vowels in a row?
22. is/are a monosyllable word with 9 or more letters?
23. is/are an English word, 15 letters long, where no letter appears more than once?
24. is/are a 6 letter word with 4 U's
25. is/are a 7 letter word with 4 Z's
26. is/are of a 10 letter word with 4 K's

27. Can you think of a word or words that becomes plural when you add an S, and becomes singular when you add another S?

28. Find a one-syllable word, which, when two letters are removed from it, becomes a two-syllable word.

29. What common English verb becomes its own past tense when the letters are rearranged?

Find an eight-letter word containing 4 G's.

gagging

it is a type of rock
one hears of "calcareous tufa"
IIRC we heard about tufa at the time of the Apollo

3. Find a word ending in 'mt'. (very easy)

dreamt
undreamt

that takes care of the first five

I'v left number 6 to those more ambitious

Six-letter word, 4 U's:
Muumuu

Nine-letter monosyllable: Straights? Like in poker? I bet there's lots of words that qualify without being made plural, though...

I think I have already posted that the verb EAT becomes ATE in the past tense.

Well need to dash. Have a cornet lesson soon and I need to cycle to school.

Will think more.

"1. Find an eight-letter word containing 4 G's."

I didn't know about gagging. Very nice to see. The word I had in mind was 'giggling'.

I did think of giggling but thought it was wrong so I put gaggling instead.

Hope my other answers are right.
