Don't forget, it's on at 7pm CST on CBS tonight. It will be showing the best Superbowl commercials of the past.

It's on! cat herding, streaking sheep, dinosaurs stomping humans! WOOT!

Darn you! I appreciate the head's up, but our local affiliate did not pick it up, so I'm out of luck. I'll watch the Superbowl tomorrow for the commercials and the half-time show, plus the quarterly scores. My wife picked up a couple of $10 squares in a $1000 football pool. I don't like any team sports, especially football, so I need lots of incentive to watch the game. (Here that, producers? LOTS of tight shots on the cheerleaders!)

You can vote online for your favorite commercial.

You're kidding! I wait all year for this! I already choked on my grapefruit juice.

CBS, not NBC!

Not kidding. I'm pretty ticked about it, too. I hardly ever watch TV apart from the news and some music programs, but I would like to see the old Super Bowl commercials. Oh, well.

Go here. This appears to be current, although I have only watched the first clip so far.

Gah, that's last year's link. I will find them for you turbo!
Thanks for the effort, Evo. I rooted around and got the current ones. That first Budweiser clip is a great one!

Unfortunately, CBS seems to have pulled down all the clips except Hank the Clydesdale, the Talking Stain, and Mean Joe Green. Bah! I may dig a bit more. I really like cat-herding, for one.

I have found compilations of past "top 10" commercials on YouTube. That seems to work out OK, though I'll have to dig to see if somebody has a top commercials of all time compilation in there.

I don't think any of this year's would make the list of greatest commercials.

The best this year?

1. Southwest Motors (a local car dealership, so probably none of you saw that one)

2. Pepsi - The Forever Young commercial

3. Audi - The car chase commercial with a Mercedes, BMW, and Audi

4. Vizio - The 'look here' commercial

I think Career Builder's 'It Might Be Time' commercial could qualify as one of the worst ever. It was so obnoxious and annoying I wanted to fling a snow globe into the groin area of any Career Builder employees I might encounter. Except I thought the snow globe commercial was pretty stupid, too.

I thought this thread was RE the porn aired by mistake during this years superbowl.

It got to the British press but you didn't notice it?

I didn't watch the SB. Can you post a link to what you are referring? The PETA commercial was rejected.

The porn was only in Tucson, and only Comcast cable customers without high definition saw it.

It was apparently aired intentionally for 30 seconds. I stood in front of the TV so my grandchildren couldn't see it. That was the fastest I have gotten up from the couch in years.

It did make the national news. I just wish that many people would pay attention to the economy.

OMG did anyone see the one about buying gold with ed mcman and MC hammer!

There was also this one on finding jobs. It was like do you hate your job? Hey stupid.

Do you hate your job? Hey stupid. Want to punch a furry animal?

It kept going but every time this fist punched a stuffed kuala bear and knocked his glasses off (he was also holding a mug of coffee).

I found it!

Oh my god that was funny.

That was the one I felt was so annoying that I wanted to throw snow globes at the groin areas of every employee of Career Builder. On reflection, I think that reaction is insufficient. I should expand that to throwing snow globes at the groin area of anyone who even likes that commercial.
