For my tensor analysis class we have to do some project/research on tensor applications. I've done a search and I haven't found anything I'm looking for. I want to steer clear of the usual applications (physics/engineering) and try to do something a bit different. My professor suggests: statistics, signal analysis, or to space shuttle control systems, etc, or perhaps applying some other area of mathematics to tensor analysis.

Any thoughts/suggestions/references?

i know much about fluid and relativity. but statistics and signal analysis, oh, dud!
