TL;DR

does pressure double when stacking fans?

If I have a computer fan that provides 50 cfm, and x static pressure. By stacking two of the same type of fans together, in the same direction, will it maintain the cfm but increase the static pressure to ~2x?

It will depend on the fan. If the fan has a stator to untwist the air before the second fan, the second fan should increase the static pressure difference. If the air path has low resistance to flow it may increase the flow volume.

A fan with obstructed flow will make significant noise as there will be little flow over the fan blade surfaces, air must then flow back through the gaps with turbulence.
